At the Condi Rice Protest in Portland on 10/19/ I barge in on a conversation trying to be started by a cop, by asking
a masked protester "how is it going"? - I thought he might be asking him why he was wearing a mask? --my mistake! turns into
a conversation with me and the cop. As the video facts show, the masked protester didn't want to talk with the cop in the
first place or the second place. I didn't mind talking with my camera on. In our conversation the cop mistakes me for
another average joe free lance vidoeographer filmer.... [but] it wasn't me. I add to this video here a small outtake of when
I did film him speaking w/ the corporate media, but there was no conversation at that time with him and me.
This is a discussion I taped at the weekly police training presentation at Portland City Hall. It was done for the benefit
of the citizens review committee. Showing your ID or "consenting to a search" you are "not" obligated to do. Unless your under
some kind of level of investigation, are being arrested or detained for questions, etc
Undercover cops show up at Occupy Portland meeting in the park - citizens in crowd ID them by name to me w/ camera, as
the undercover cops hear us talking ...they leave. The same underover officers in the video below this text (scroll down)
are the 2 who show up att the Occupy Organizing meeting

COPWATCHING
PORTLAND ORE
Police arrest lady in downtown.
The police say "Hi Joe" as they drive by me when leaving with the arrested (?) lady, the next cop
waves to the camera as he drives by. A related article about this same group of over zelous cops is posted here on indymedia http://youtu.be/X2pFW9zGS_E
When Funk The War had a Dance party in the street against the war the police didn't like it. They
peppersprayed the crowd numerous times. I get sprayed around 15 minutes into the video.
3 years latter I win my out of court lawsuit settlement
About 75-100 anarchists and supporters marched from
the waterfront through downtown Portland. This was a protest march against the rise in Police killing and abuse in Portland
Oregon.
The horse police interact(?) with kids on the sidewalk and FAIL
to leave their business cards with a concerned citizen who had just asked for them their cards(?) The (a) Federal Marshals
from the courthouse come from inside to take a picture of me filming the horse police can be seen in the begining of the video.
Then A Transit Police stops in the middle of the road. Then A Private Policeman walks by and stands on there steps with the
other 2 Marshals. As the horse cops leave with out handing their business cards. Then, the Private Rent a Cop stares at me
like he is a Texas Ranger with his shades on from the top step of the courthouse. So I start filming him for about 5 minutes
solid. He gives me the "Texas stare down" after 5 minutes and some wordy exchanges he quits the stare down contest, and goes
inside the courthouse.
(Fact) The one horse cop in this video who is named "Reister
is the "same officer" who took my video camera in 2008 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eHMnFD... ... since then I have taken the city to court and have cleared the air
on citizens filming the police with out being hassled. (That Officer Reister was so confused about in 2008 is now corrected
and clear)
