1. April 27th to May 4th Camping at Shady is in motion - Bring your own supplies, it should be fairly good weather, possible light showers. Fire Season ends this month. Just sayin!

3. Winter Camp opens (COVID safe) on Dec 6th for unknown length of days camping trip

8. Fall Now - Shady Camping is planned for one week FIRE ON THE MOUNTAIN - Oct 17 to 24 - Cool Nights and maybe some sprinkles = One Week under the pines .... stay for a day or two or 7 * Leaving Sat night from PDX
   
9. Sept 13 - 16 = three nights = A big group of us are camping - anybody can join in BYOFood - Leaving Sunday from Portland.
   
10. A five day and 5 night trip starts Aug 1 - 13 ....I will be up at SG camping alone - driving my new OLD truck - I wanna clean up the motor home and do some relaxing - Stop by and visit - TEXT me if you wanna drop in - Nice hot weather w/ plenty of shade
    
11. Plans are in the works for July 24 - 30 ~ many days of camping weather will be ©hot. 
12. Leaving Sunday morning from Portland. 2 nights & 2 days. Taking one truck. So far this camp out has 4 people going, if your reading this your invited! Father, son and grandson - (plus a friend of grandson) will be camping in 80° to 90° sunshine and relaxing in theshade.
13. Just announced a 10 day camping trip to Shady starts on Friday July3rd - I will return to PDX on Mon July 13th - stop by anybody is welcome to join me - On next Friday July10th Jordan will arrive for a couple nights. BYOB / BYOF (beer / food)
    
14. I have all of July & August off work and the weather is gonna be BEAUTIFUL ... you can expect to see me at SG most of these two months. Camping by tent is available and I can arrange the cabin for the night for anybody interested - Bring Water and Food - Text me for the Gate Code. (No fires) I have a propane fire pit and a Mr Buddy propane heater for those occasional chilly summer nights in the woods)
    
15. July 10th and 11th (possibly two nights) camping with oldest grandson - Sunny Weather is expected - anybody else interested .... is welcome to join us.
    
16. One Night - Over Night Trip planned for June 19 and 20 - If you can read this you are invited - let me know
    
17. Camping planned for May 4th tru 7th of  - 4 nights and its gonna be nice n sunny at the Shady Grove :)
    
18. April 27 & 28 2020 - Lee and I plan on going up and camping one or two nights. Weather has been cold and cloudy - Will be working on roof and cabin door.might leave late on Sunday - Weather is warming - still cloudy - no rain. If you are reading this and want to go just let me know

25. I will be at Shady on Sept 2 and 3rd prepping for the OMC Kamping and working on the cabin
    
26. OMC (Old Mans Club) will be KAMPING 2019 for 2 nights and 3 days Sept 8.9.10 - FREE for anybody to stop in
    
27. Family Reunion in the Shady Grove neighborhood...  @ Brooks Memorial State Park
28. Picnic for Family Reunion on Saturday 8/10 will be at Shady Grove
29. I will be spending time prepare for the picnic the day before the Reunion and will be staying a day latter to clean up
30. July Camping trips are being planned in mid July and near the end of July
31. In July I will be hauling wood, tools and supplies to Shady Grove, hoping to get the first cabin built in July
    
32. Camping trip in June 2019 is being planned. Wet weather in April May. Dirt road is soggy leading to Shady Grove entrance.
33. Camping plans are in motion for the middle of June 2019 Stay tuned to this page for updates.
34. When checking on property on 4/16 we seen the fence blew over that was erected by the solar shower (need to beef it up)
    

35. April 16 - 19   ~  3 Nights & 4 Days of Shady Camping  ~ (this was a success) - Tire stuck in mud! (no problem)
    

36. Mike n Lee are heading up early on Tuesday morning for 3 nights of shady camping if your reading this YOU ARE INVITED!

44. Planning a 3 day Labor Day camping trip # 7 - I will be working on the "first cabin" walls and improving the trails

46. Successful camp outs in August on 8/14/ and on 8/25 (so far two nights by myself) (numerous camp-outs w/ Lee)
47. We built a fence half way around the outdoor shower area, and laid some bricks
48. On 8/14 I made a trail that makes a loop through 1/2 the property, I have some camp-spots in mind and some relaxing rest areas to put a bench, a chair or a hammock 
49. After the Family Reunion I went camping for 2 nights at Shady Grove - If you are reading this you are invited!!

53. Summer Camp out #4 is being planned for Shady Grove as of 7/6 - We are planning for the first weekend in August (Sat Sun Mon) - Leaving at high noon on Monday
54. Last camping trip #3 was great ...set up a second hammock and cleared around the main camp.... upgraded the fire-pit by adding more rocks and installing a round covered iron fire-pit in the center.
55. Seen one deer and lots of birds ...in fact we added a bird feeder and a bird house ....more bird watching stories to come soon
56. We drove right up to the main camp in my car for camp out #3 (and #4)
57. A 2 day camping June 39th and July 1st ....we will come back on Monday morning - Mike & Lee going.

61. First overnight camp trip on Memorial Day Weekend SUN / MON was perfect. Made a new Shady Grove camping spot (#2) Good weather and good food and drink and we even had company. Friends came by that evening and I met the neighbor (nice guy) in the morning. He gave me permission to go onto his daughters adjacent land to see the clear night sky (view over the bluff).  
62. Next Camp Out is going to be on JUNE 30th 2018 and so let it be noted that Camp Out Number Three is being planned as of 6/28/18 - check back on this page for the exact date & details.
